This vast meadow is second to none in natural beauty in Uttaranchal. During winter it provides excellent & one of the best ski slopes in India spread over an area of 28 sqkms. |

Precarious crossing of glaciers and streams the trail gains over 8000 ft in the space of a few days from Harsil at 9000 ft to 17335 ft at the pass. The rewards though are many lush green valley stunning vistas of towering peaks and lacks glaciers and enormous fields of snow. |

Peaks |

As the name suggests the Shivling peak resembles Lord Shiva and is also called Mahdev ka Linga. When seen from Gaumukh Shivling appears as a single pyramid but it is actually a twin summited mountain. The northeast pinnacle is slightly higher than the southwest pinnacle. |
